AF&PA: Comprehensive Tax Reform Can't Come Soon Enough

WASHINGTON, D.C. (News release) - American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Donna Harman issued the following statement regarding the opportunity for comprehensive tax reform given passage of the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Resolution:

"Passage of a budget blueprint sets the stage for comprehensive tax reform that can't come soon enough. We need a tax system that works for manufacturers and their employees - this is about jobs, paychecks and a higher standard of living. The current, antiquated system stands in the way of economic growth, job creation and investment and hinders our industry's ability to remain competitive. We urge Congress to stay focused on the task at hand and find a solution that includes lower tax rates and reforms that will set foundation for future growth for our manufacturers and others for generations to come."
