KINGSEY FALLS, Quebec -- Cascades has announced a new partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation, a respected, non-government environmental organization dedicated to protecting the environment. Through this new association, Cascades, which is already recognized as the leader in sustainable business practices, will be supporting the Foundation in its mission to protect nature's diversity and our quality of life, thereby expanding its positive impact on the planet's health.

A first event to raise awareness in Toronto
To officially mark this new partnership, Cascades and the Foundation hosted a conference in Toronto on October 17. More than 300 participants from various backgrounds were present: company representatives, public officials, NGOs and the general public. David Suzuki , scientist, broadcaster, author and co-founder of the Foundation; Laurence Packer , York University Faculty of Science Professor and a world-renowned bee expert; and Lorraine Johnson , urban gardening expert and author, were present to discuss the protection of biodiversity and the adoption of sustainable practices in our daily lives.

Cascades will also support the Foundation's other activities and public awareness campaigns in the coming months. In addition to the general public, it will encourage its employees to engage in them.
