OXFORD, Ohio (News release) -- Miami University's Paper Science and Engineering Foundation is pleased to announce that it has named Dr. Gary Rudemiller ('82) as its next Executive Director beginning on October 16, 2017.

Dr. Rudemiller returns to Miami after an illustrious career in the paper industry including earning his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology and decades of operations and management experience at companies including Champion, International Paper, Wausau Paper, and Voith.

Dr. Rudemiller follows Jon Kerr, whose work over the last seven years in the position has revitalized the foundation as a key connection between the university, the students and the industry.

The Paper Science and Engineering Foundation was founded in 1960 with the mission of connecting talented and driven students in Miami's Paper Science curriculum to the paper industry. Each year the foundation awards merit based scholarships to students studying in the Paper Science minor, with a scholarship total award of $290,000 in the 2016-2017 school year.
