Good advice about Courtland, but I would add the following:

If a potential employer sends you a message asking if you are looking for employment, ANSWER IT.  I reached out to several people on LinkedIn as soon as I heard about Courtland closing.  One responded; she now works for me, out of her home, at a salary greater than she was making – and no shift work.

I was simply stunned no one but her responded to my LinkedIn messages.
