Nippon Paper Industries reviews the production structure of glassine paper

Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. has decided to review the production structure of glassine paper and achieve a more efficient production structure, as part of the restructuring initiatives, on the basis of the contraction of the domestic paper market.

Currently the Nippon Paper Group produces glassine paper at two mills, namely the Company's Fuji Mill and Harada Mill of Nippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd., a specialty paper company of the Group. The company decided to consolidate production and halt the operations of Fuji Mill Paper Machine No.1 by the end of September 2017. Production of glassine paper, which is produced in this machine, will be transferred to Nippon Paper Papylia Harada Mill.
