No excuses

Ironically, your humble columnist really messed up the quiz last week. And--I have no excuses!  Here are the comments made on the "What do you think?" quiz this week:

We asked: "Ask some one to evaluate you before you answer this question:  Are you known for giving excuses or getting the job done? (Yes = getting the job done)"  We only added the parenthetical part after early respondents pointed out the stupidity of have an "either/or" question with a "yes or no" answer!

The question is poorly framed. If you say yes it means both. In any case it is aninteresting question in that there are many qualifiers, such aas age, position, principles, values, supporters and politics. Given favorable qualifiers most uf us have reputation for getting things done, every day. The ubasked question is what we get done right?

Very interesting to have an "or" question with yes/no responses!

I'll stand behind my 32 year track record - not perfect, but something I'm proud of - not sure if I should have answered your wuestion yes or no - is yes a " giving excuses" person?

I pride myself on getting the job done - even over the objections of those who like to hide in the organization and be "politically correct." It's not easy to stand up for what you believe in, but in the aftermath, it's well worth it.
