On When One Thing Goes Wrong, Everything Goes Wrong

Jim,

Your article this week reminds me of a situation I experienced in Millinocket several years ago...

For about two years straight, when I was production manager of Coated Papers, I had be best week-end duty experiences imaginable. EVERY week-end I was on call, I went into the mill, did my rounds, conducted the morning meeting, and went home. No calls, no crashes, no nothing!!! After about two years of this week-end bliss, Bowater sold the mills in Maine and I had the last Bowater week-end.

I swear, if it had a moving part, it broke down that weekend! It was the worst weekend of my life!

Best regards,

Steven J. Moore
