Pratt opens new facility

ATLANTA, Georgia (From news reports) -- Conyers, Ga.-based Pratt Industries has opened a new recycling facility on Atlanta's westside.

The 80,000-square-foot facility in the Fulton Industrial corridor replaces a smaller facility in East Point that the company opened in 2007.

The facility can recycle various grades of paper, plastic, and metal, as well as other materials.

"Pratt and the Atlanta market have grown together since the company chose Conyers as its corporate headquarters more than 20 years ago," says Myles Cohen, president of Pratt Recycling, Waste Today reports. "We are proud to be able to continue our presence through the addition of more green-collar jobs in our home state of Georgia."

Pratt Industries is America's fifth largest paper and packaging company.
