Radio program is spot on

Jim,

I listened to your radio show, "The coming problem with coal." You are spot on. Not just the paper industry, but all coal burners are stuck believing that logic will prevail and they can survive or making big investment to gas, the next target criminal.  We need to focus on fuel revisions for lowest capital to buy more time rather than thinking that a major investment will shield them from the people committed to no fossil fuel ever.

The paper industry, other than packaging or tissue, will have to be very “creative” in their justification in a fossil fuel investment. I doubt under harsh scrutiny that any will capital cover reasonably. I would also add that the spears are being sharpened on biomass as we speak. This trend will require creativity, not normally associated with steam and electric production. Utilizing logic is one of the biggest roadblocks to finding the solution.

I enjoy the challenge.
