Responding to "The Uncertain Future Of Graduate Chemical Engineers in South Africa"

Hi Jim,

I came across the article “"The Uncertain Future Of Graduate Chemical Engineers in South Africa"” today and was amazed. If someone had to ask me what my life was like over the last 10 years, I would  refer them to this article. I am exactly in the same position, struggled through life’'s hardships, matriculated in 2004 with a distinction, graduated in 2009 with a Bsc in Chemical Engineering from UKZN and battled to find employment for over a year since graduating. The Banks see potential in us however I always keep wondering if I followed the wrong path which is different to that of what I studied.

It’'s demotivating knowing there is so much potential that is lost as a result of limited opportunities.
