We had one response last week that summed up the whole issue:

Radar detection works for larger aircraft and with some modification, should provide at least some protection until the detection systems are perfected. The problem is then to do something about the drone before it gets to the mill perimeter or after it is detected inside the mill. Several of the mill staff are surely a good bird hunters!!
