>I joined a relatively small mill after working at a very large mill. The mill made most of it's pulp, but was not fully integrated. I was looking at ways to increase output and lower costs - and it finally dawned on me that the mill's scale was too small to justify the capital for extra production we needed.

>I observed people refusing to accept the decline in newspapers and other print media. Many of them are still in a state of denial.

>Refining could only be done the way we did in the past... because it was done that way always. Still I think there is a lot of room for progress in one of the least efficient parts of our process.
