In my column last week, we asked "Think back to the last colleague to exit your facility. How would you rate their own cleanup of their area before they left?"

57.1% of respondents answered "Excellent," 28.6% chose "Poor," 14.3 chose "Neutral," and no one chose "Good" or "Fair."

Next, we asked "Does your employer have a policy and procedure for cleaning up the areas occupied by recently departed employees?"

85.7 percent answered "No," and 14.3 percent said "Yes."

Finally, we posed "Does your company have a policy and procedure to clean up the electronic trail left by departed employees?"

57.1 percent said "Yes," and the rest said "No."
