The new boss

Last week we asked, "In your experience what did I miss in my description of how to handle the new boss situation?

A couple of choice answers:

Learn the new boss' system and expectations ASAP. If he doesn't volunteer them, ask for them. But don't ask if you aren't willing to do everything that you can that's legal, ethical and moral to adhere to his management system and exceed his expectations including forgetting what you once thought was important if necessary.

The wise new boss will go around asking why things are done in a particular way before he changes things. What the wise manager will know before asked, at any time, the reasons. When the spot-light is shown his reasoning will be clear. May even make the new regime unneeded.
