We need to tell the real story about paper and pulp

Dear Jim,

As a frequent reader of your letters, I'm really in wonder how it is possible that all the readers, who are working in, and are concerned about the pulp and paper industry, do not "Make a difference." We all are proud that we are in a biobased industry for ages, even before the word biobased was known. I think we all do our best to make the pulp and paper in an enviromentle sound way.
Still we are not able to show the world that paper making is not only polution, but that we as an industry has had its share, and still does, to make paper the best way, using as low as possible energy, and taking really care for the woods, the water and the air.
I'm proud to say that the Dutch Governement has seen the steps we have taken and the ideas behind it, so there is a good communication without pointing fingers, but talking and making new steps in energy effiencency.
I hope that in some way we, as persons ánd as industry, can change the perception, and tell the real story about paper and pulp. One of the steps is your petition and telling that for instance Google is telling the wrong information... I hope that your readers will start signing the petition.

Best Regards,
Gert van Beek
