BATTLE CREEK, Michigan (From the Battle Creek Enquirer) -- An industrial dryer fire early Friday at a WestRock facility was quickly extinguished by Battle Creek firefighters.

Ten fire vehicles and 27 firefighters responded to the 3:22 a.m. report of a fire in a second-floor dryer at the paperboard manufacturing facility.

Firefighters said the fire was put out before it could spread inside the facility. No injuries were reported.

Assisting at the scene were firefighters from Bedford and Emmett townships and the Veterans Affairs Fire Department.
