B.C.-based Tolko cuts back consultant workforce

CANADA (From news reports) -- Tolko Industries, based in Vernon, B.C., has cut its consultant workforce, resulting in several people losing their jobs.

Communications advisor Chris Downey stated that these decisions were made after a lot of consideration and acknowledged the impact on employees.

Downey mentioned that B.C. Policies are causing high costs and limiting access to economic fibre for manufacturing facilities.

Downey said it's difficult to know the full impact of proposed tariffs until they are formally implemented, indicating uncertainty for the future.
