Felix Schoeller Leads the Way of Sustainability with Innovation

Felix Schoeller is fulfilling its PAPER MADE FOR LIFE brand promise with glimpse at new sustainable product solutions at this year's Printing United (September 10-12,2024) in Las Vegas. The S-RACE® TERRA sublimation paper made of 100 percent recycled fibers, the SCM pro terra and the polyethylen-free ULTRA green photo paper are the consistent implementations of the promise to use resources and make an essential contribution to society consciously and the environment with sustainable paper solutions - without compromising on quality. As if that wasn't enough, the new paper-based DTF transfer product TRANSFER DT paper with 67 per cent less plastic will soon be a sustainable addition to the transfer films in the product portfolio. You can experience the unique, sustainable solutions and new products live at the trade fair stand at booth no. SL11130.

"We are driving forward our one-stop-shop approach and are in the process of launching sustainable solutions with real added value for our customers. In doing so, we are thinking paper further and showing that PAPER MADE FOR LIFE is not just lip service," says Hadrien

S-RACE® TERRA makes the sublimation printing process even more sustainable

With the S-RACE® portfolio, Felix Schoeller has developed sublimation paper that consists entirely of 100 percent recycled fibers. These industrial fiber residues, such as tissue, books or envelopes, always come from the same known sources to ensure consistent formulations. This ensures the high quality and unique properties of S-RACE® sublimation papers. No fresh pulp is neede, which conserves valuable resources. This process leads to a 25 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions compared to conventional sublimation papers. With its future-proof technology, S RACE® sublimation papers are not only a sustainable solution for products in the sports and textile industries.

The portfolio also offers papers for every type of sublimation application with products from 75 to 120 g/m² for all those who professionally print and produce any kind of textile application and merchandise and personalized items like cups, ornaments and panels.. Of particular interest to the Printing United audience is the S-RACE® Photo Panel Pro 120, which was developed together with Universal Woods and their ChromaLuxe® brand. It is designed for professional large format printers that can use it to process small and large format applications. It offers perfect edge-to-edge image reproduction, more vibrant colors and deeper, non-cloudy blacks, making it the perfect complement to ChromaLuxe® panels.

Sustainable prints for advertising materials at the point of sale

Like the S-RACE® TERRA, the new SCM pro terra paper comprises 65% recycled fibersThe manufacturing process of this special coated matt paper requires only a small amount of virgin pulp, thus conserving resources. As a result, CO2 emissions can be reduced by as much as 33 percent compared to conventional SCM papers. With its unique naturally recycled matt surface, the 95-gram paper offers excellent line sharpness. At the same time, the special coating guarantees brilliant and intense colors for a sustainable solution for advertising materials at the point of sale.

ULTRA green paper for sustainable high-end photo quality without polyethylen

ULTRA green Semi Gloss 230 is a sustainable alternative to high-quality inkjet photo papers with PE-based coatings. The newly developed pigment-based barrier layer is free from polyethylen.
