Fire at Sofidel America in Green Bay, Wisconsin causes $250,000 in damage

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (From news reports) - Firefighters battled a fire Tuesday night that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage at a large paper converting facility.

Fire crews responded to the blaze around 10 p.m. at Sofidel America according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

Officials said a large part of the warehouse was filled with smoke when crews arrived, and a paper converting machine was on fire. Officials said firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the warehouse.

Workers got out safely, and no injuries were reported. Officials estimated the fire caused about $250,000 in damage.
