Fire reported at LSC Communications facility
HARRISONBURG, Va. (From news reports) - On Thursday night, April 22, firefighters responded to a report of a fire at LSC Communications in Rockingham County.

Rockingham County Fire Chief Jeremy Holloway said there was some cardboard and paper on fire in a room which contains about 300 bails of the items at the Kratzer Road location.

Crews from Rockingham County and Harrisonburg were dispatched to the scene.

There are no reports of injuries.

LSC Communications released the following statement on the incident on Friday morning, April 23:

"On Thursday evening, a small fire ignited in a storage area of our Harrisonburg facility and was quickly extinguished, with no injuries having occurred. Our team members working at the time reacted swiftly and safely and were able, in conjunction with the skilled firefighters and first responders on the scene, to contain the incident. We are continuing work this morning to respond with cleanup activities in the affected areas and do not anticipate any damage to equipment or significant disruption to our operations at the facility."
