Firefighters battle blaze at Prattville's International Paper mill

PRATTVILLE, Alabama (From news reports) − The Prattville Fire Department was fighting a large industrial fire Monday night, Sept. 23, at the city's International Paper mill.

The department is working with the mill's emergency response team to suppress a fire at an outdoor paper storage area, the PDF posted on the agency's Facebook page. There fire is contained and there have been no injuries, PDF said. There are reports of ash falling in the area around the mill, the ash and suppression activities present no danger to anyone at the mill site or in the community, the post reads.

The fire started Monday afternoon.
