Firemen douse fire at First Quality Tissue facility

LOCK HAVEN, PA (From news reports) - Firemen from Castanea, Lock Haven and the surrounding area were in service for three hours responding to a late Tuesday morning alarm at First Quality's Lock Haven Tissue facility.

Fire officials were unavailable for immediate comment but local media learned the flames were from lint-like material from a dryer used in the tissue-manufacturing process. Firemen removed a portion of a metal roof to attack the fire. There was no word on the extent of the loss.

Ladders from the two Lock Haven ladder trucks were used to get firemen to the roof. There was an unconfirmed report of one minor injury to a fireman.
