New Green Bay Packaging mill set to open next week

GREEN BAY (From news reports) -- Green Bay Packaging's new paper mill will start operations Monday, according to the company.
Bryan Hollenbach, executive vice president, provided the update on the $500 million facility during a NEW North forum Thursday.
"It is another commitment to Green Bay, Wisconsin, and it really establishes the legacy, re-establishes the legacy, of Green Bay Packaging in this area," Hollenbach said.
Construction started in 2018. At one point, there were 1,200 people working at the construction site, he said.
At the groundbreaking, the company said the new mill would preserve 1,100 jobs, with another 200 more possibly to be added.
