Worker falls through Sappi Cloquet roof

CLOQUET, Minn. (From news reports) -- A roofing contractor fell 30 feet through a roof at Cloquet's Sappi mill Tuesday morning.

Cloquet Area Fire District responded to the Cloquet-based Sappi paper mill at approximately 11:34 a.m. Tuesday.

The contractor's employer reported to Sappi management that the accident victim "is doing fine. He has some minor injuries and should have a quick recovery." Sappi is investigating the accident.

A CAFD spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon that the ambulance transported the man to a Duluth hospital. He did not have a condition report.
