OXFORD, Ohio (News release) - The Board of Trustees of the Paper Science & Engineering Foundation at Miami University is very pleased to announce that Mrs. Julie A. Bischoff has been named as our new Assistant Director, effective on December 3, 2018.
In her new role, Bischoff will be responsible for a broad range of duties that include financial management, student recruitment and retention, and corporate relations support. She will be responsible for the daily operation of the Foundation, reporting to the Executive Director, Dr. Gary Rudemiller.
Prior to joining the PS&E Foundation, Bischoff was Administrative Assistant for two years in Miami's Information Technology (IT) department where she executed upon a number of administrative responsibilities as a member of a cross-trained team of administrative staff. These included monitoring departmental budgets, providing reports for department managers, executing divisional purchases and contracts, supporting special department functions, and working with faculty to resolve related issues.
Prior work experiences uniquely qualify her for this role as Assistant Director. She was an Administrative Assistant in the registrar's office at LaSalle High School in Cincinnati, where she worked closely with students and faculty in an academic setting. At Cincinnati's Children's Hospital, she provided administrative support for the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, and of particular note, she streamlined some computerized systems to effect efficiency improvements. In earlier roles in private business office settings, she regularly interacted with many professionals and business leaders. These experiences provide a solid foundation for the functions she will perform for the Foundation.
