Pratt Industries Employees Donate to Hurricane Harvey Relief in Houston

By Pratt Industries

Part of the Pratt Industries mission statement focuses on enhancing the communities in which we live and work through diverse philanthropic investments of resources and funding. It's a tradition begun by Pratt's late worldwide chairman, Richard Pratt and continues today by his family and the entire organization.

In the spirit of this giving that runs deep within our company, our employees recently committed to contributing towards Hurricane Harvey relief efforts to give back after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

As a result of this effort, Pratt employees contributed a total of $22,780 which was then matched by the company. The total donation amounts to $45,560 which was given to the Houston Food Bank.

The Houston Food Bank has a history of providing disaster relief and is committed to providing food and supplies in the short term and for many months to come to residents in southeast Texas who will struggle to rebuild their lives. Every dollar donated to the Houston Food Bank provides the equivalent of three meals for an individual. That means that Pratt's donation provides over 136,000 meals to those who need it most.

We are proud that our employees raise money for causes large and small, donating their time to help both stranger and neighbor. They are truly committed to the communities in which they live and work.
