TUPELO, Miss. (From news reports) -- A foam packing facility in Tupelo is shutting down.

Pregis told its 40 or so employees this past week about the facility's closure.

"It's not an easy message to deliver--or to receive," the company announced. "These decisions are never taken lightly and it's not a reflection of the performance of our employees at this site. As business conditions change, we must adapt to the changes."

The company announced it's providing support to employees, including severance and job placement assistance.
