Ronald C. Parker elected Chair of Roseburg's Board of Directors, replacing Allyn Ford, who remains on the Board

Ronald C. Parker, a longtime director of Roseburg, former Roseburg chief financial officer and former CEO of Hampton Lumber, has been elected Chair of Roseburg's Board of Directors.

Parker replaces Allyn Ford, who led Roseburg's transformation over the past 30 years from a regional forest products company into a national provider of high-quality, sustainable wood products throughout North America. Ford will continue as an active member of the Board.

Parker is the first non-Ford family member to serve as the Board's chair in the company's nearly 90-year history. The transition, effective October 1, 2024, will further the family ownership's goal of ensuring long-term leadership and governance in the next phase of company growth.

"Ron has sawdust in his veins and is driven to win like all of us here at Roseburg,'' Ford said. "He knows our business, lives our core values, and is deeply connected to Roseburg's legacy and its future. In partnership with our CEO, Stuart Gray, and his capable leadership team, Roseburg and our Board are in very good hands with Ron."

"Big shoes to fill might be an understatement,'' Parker said. "I'm proud and humbled to lead the Board and partner with Stuart Gray and the management team to build upon a vision that began in 1936 with Kenneth Ford and lives on through the Ford family and thousands of Roseburg team members who share a passion for wood and an unwavering commitment to our customers and the communities where we do business."

Parker joined Roseburg's Board in 2005 after serving as the company's CFO from 1986 to 1995. He retired as vice chairman of Hampton Affiliates and previously served as president, CEO and a director of its privately owned, vertically integrated lumber company.

Parker currently serves as the Chairman of the investment committee for the Ford Family Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the Pacific Northwest with current assets exceeding $1.1 billion. He has also been a Trustee of the Board of PIMCO Open End Funds in Newport Beach, CA, since 2009.

In addition to Parker and Allyn Ford, current Roseburg Directors include Eric Ford, Anurag Gupta, Lynn Wilson, and Jim James.
