Cal Fire fire investigators have determined that the devastating Mill Fire that occurred in Weed last year was caused by mill operations at Roseburg Forest Products.

Cal Fire says the investigative report has been sent to the Siskiyou County District Attorney's Office.

The Mill Fire began on September 2, 2022, and burned 3.935 acres. It also damaged or destroyed 144 structures, injured three people and killed two others.
