Sodra invests in new GIS switchgear at Mönsterås pulp mill in Sweden

SWEDEN (News release) -- Sodra's Mönsterås mill is strengthening its position as a producer of green electricity with a new GIS switchgear from Siemens Energy.

Thor-Björn Johansson, Head of Technical Service ELINDA, at Södra Cell Mönsterås, says the investment will enhance reliability and has low maintenance requirements. Thanks to ground-breaking Siemens technology, it has zero climate impact.

"As a company with strong sustainability goals, it is important for us to continuously seek out and implement environmentally friendly alternatives within our operations. In this case, it was also extra important to us that the solution complies with the revised F-gas regulation so we feel future-proof," he says.
